Crafted with durability and ease of use in mind, this retractable bollard is an ideal choice for safeguarding a variety of environments, from vehicle forecourts and commercial premises to car parks and domestic driveways
The RetractaPost operates vertically, effortlessly raising and lowering as needed - when lowered, the post is fully submerged below ground, seamlessly integrating into its surroundings
Secure your area with confidence using the padlockable feature, by rotating the post 45° and attaching a padlock (padlock not included) between the post and the lid, you can effectively restrict access when required
Ensure hassle-free installation with our straightforward guide - Follow these steps to set up your RetractaPost effectively:
- Site Preparation: Calculate the ideal placement for your posts, keeping them within a maximum distance of 1200mm apart. Mark these positions on the ground to guide your excavation process
- Excavation: Dig a hole according to the recommended dimensions for your chosen RetractaPost size:
- 500mm RetractaPost = 900mm deep excavation
- 745mm RetracraPost = 1200mm deep excavation
- Base Preparation: Ensure proper drainage by placing chippings at the base of the excavation. This prevents post-excavation flooding, ensuring longevity and functionality
- Post Placement: Position the post in the hole, ensuring that the top cover stands proud of the surface by 5mm. Surround the post with additional chippings until it stands securely on its own
- Stabilisation: Lift the post to full extension to confirm its straight alignment. Continue filling with chippings until they reach 400mm from the surface of the excavation
- Concrete Application: Fill the remaining space in the hole with concrete, smoothing it around the lid area. Lower the post carefully and allow sufficient time for the concrete to cure fully
