Choosing a plate by diagram number
Supplementary plates are ordered by diagram number, and the number fixes the wording on the face. The range covers:
- 502 'Stop ... yds' and 503 'Give way ... yds' - distance plates, with the figure in yards set when you order.
- 572 'Yards ahead' - a distance plate carrying the figure in yards on its own.
- 557.2 'Humps for 1/2 mile' - a distance plate for a run of road humps.
