Frequently Asked Questions

Do permanent road signs need to be CE marked?

Yes — all permanent signs installed on public UK highways must be CE marked in accordance with BS EN 12899-1:2007. All signs in our permanent range carry the required CE mark.

What reflectivity class do permanent road signs need?

Permanent road signs on public highways in the UK are required to use Class 2 (R2/RA2) retroreflective sheeting to ensure visibility at night. Our permanent signs are supplied with Class 2 reflectivity as standard.

What is TSRGD?

The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions (TSRGD) 2016 is the legal framework governing traffic sign design and use on UK roads. All our permanent road signs comply with the current TSRGD.
