Why Choose This Sign

Clear at a distance

The hose-and-flame pictogram is paired with wording, so the sign reads clearly from across a corridor or car park.

Fixing to suit the job

Choose drill-hole, self-adhesive, horizontal channel or vertical channel fixing depending on size and material.

Interior and exterior use

Most materials are rated for indoor and outdoor use, so the same sign design works across a site.

Stays visible in the dark

The photoluminescent PVC option is charged by ambient light and stays visible if the power fails.

Frequently asked questions

Which size should I pick?

Choose based on viewing distance and the space available: 150mm x 200mm suits a sign fixed right beside the reel, 200mm x 300mm works well in a corridor, and 300mm x 400mm is easiest to read from across a car park or large open area.

What is the difference between the materials?

Rigid PVC and foam PVC are the standard choice for most indoor and outdoor walls. Self-adhesive vinyl suits smooth surfaces you don't want to drill, vinyl composite adds extra weatherproofing outdoors, and photoluminescent PVC is worth the upgrade anywhere lighting could fail.

Is self-adhesive vinyl available in every size?

No. Self-adhesive vinyl is only offered at 150mm x 200mm and 200mm x 300mm. The 300mm x 400mm size is supplied in rigid PVC, foam PVC, photoluminescent PVC or vinyl composite only.

Can this sign be mounted on a post or barrier rather than a wall?

Yes. The vinyl composite version can be ordered with horizontal or vertical channel fixing, designed for single or multiple posts and horizontal bars such as car park barriers and gates.

How does the photoluminescent version work?

It absorbs ambient light during normal operation and glows on its own if the power cuts out, keeping the fire hose reel location visible in a blackout or smoke-filled corridor.

Do I need to drill holes to fit it?

Only for the drill-hole fixing option. The self-adhesive vinyl version sticks directly to a clean, flat, non-porous surface without drilling.

Will this sign match our other fire equipment signage?

Yes. It uses the standard red-and-white hose-and-flame pictogram found across UK fire safety signage, so it will match existing fire extinguisher, alarm and fire exit signs on site.
