Why it works
One clearly labelled gathering point
Marks a named gathering point
The bold "E" letter removes any doubt on sites running more than one assembly point, so a headcount can be taken at the right location.
Choice of fixing
Self-adhesive, drill-hole, horizontal channel or vertical channel fixing options cover walls, posts and bars.
Clear evacuation instruction
The pictogram, wording and letter together make it obvious which point a group is assigned to head for.
Photoluminescent option
Charges under ambient light and stays visible if the power fails, suited to directional escape signage.
Built for outdoor fitting
Foam PVC and vinyl composite options stand up to exterior use as well as indoor fitting.
Overview
Fire Assembly Point E Sign - Overview
The Fire Assembly Point E Sign is a safe condition sign that identifies one specific, lettered gathering point for an emergency evacuation, using the green and white converging-arrows and two-person pictogram with wording and a bold "E" designation. It suits hotels, warehouses, apartment blocks and multi-building sites where more than one assembly point is in use, so staff and visitors know exactly where they are assigned to gather.

Frequently asked questions
Does the letter 'E' mean this is my fifth assembly point?
Does the letter 'E' mean this is my fifth assembly point?
Not necessarily - the letters just need to be unique across your site, so you can use 'E' for whichever point your fire risk assessment assigns it to, in any order that makes sense for your layout.
How far away can this sign be read from?
How far away can this sign be read from?
The 150mm x 200mm size suits close-up viewing at a doorway or post, 200mm x 300mm reads clearly across a car park or yard, and 300mm x 400mm is better where the sign is viewed from further away or a wider approach.
Will the sign fade if it's fitted outdoors in direct sun?
Will the sign fade if it's fitted outdoors in direct sun?
Rigid PVC and vinyl composite are both suitable for exterior use, but any printed sign will fade over time in strong, constant sunlight - check it periodically and replace if the colour or legibility has dropped.
Can I order matching signs for my other assembly points?
Can I order matching signs for my other assembly points?
Yes - each lettered point (A, B, C and so on) is listed separately, so order the specific letters your evacuation plan calls for rather than buying a full set you may not need.
Is there a set height this sign should be mounted at?
Is there a set height this sign should be mounted at?
There's no single fixed height specified for this sign - position it so it's clearly visible on the approach to the gathering point, and follow your own fire risk assessment for exact siting.
Does the photoluminescent version need a power source to work?
Does the photoluminescent version need a power source to work?
No - it charges passively from ambient light during the day or under normal lighting, then glows on its own if the power fails or the area goes dark, with no wiring or battery involved.
Is vinyl composite or foam PVC better for an open outdoor car park?
Is vinyl composite or foam PVC better for an open outdoor car park?
Vinyl composite is the more durable, weatherproof choice for an exposed outdoor spot, and it also supports horizontal or vertical channel fixing if you're mounting it to a post or barrier rather than a wall.
