SLOW metal sign face - 1050 x 450mm
The SLOW sign tells drivers to cut their speed ahead of a hazard - roadworks, a site entrance or any stretch where traffic needs to come down. This is the classic red-and-white metal face seen on UK roads: retroreflective material on zintec and plated steel, Chapter 8 compliant, designed and manufactured in the UK. Order the 1050 x 450mm face on its own, or with the matching steel frame and clips.
Key features
-
Red and white SLOW legend - 1050 x 450mm face, 1.9kg.
-
Chapter 8 compliant for temporary traffic management.
-
Class 1 RA1 reflectivity - readable in low-light conditions.
-
Zintec and plated steel - stands up to weather and site handling.
-
Interchangeable faces - swap legends between matching metal frames.
-
Frame option - grey painted-steel frame (1060 x 1060mm, 6.9kg) with clips, easily weighted with sandbags.
-
Designed and manufactured in the UK.
Where it is used
- Roadworks and street works approaches
- Site entrances and haul-road crossings
- Event routes running at reduced speed
- Any temporary hazard where approach speed needs to drop
Face only or with frame?
Choose the face only if you already run 1050 x 450mm metal sign frames - faces clip in and swap between frames, so one frame can carry a set of legends. The frame option adds a grey painted-steel frame and clips; once mounted, weight it with sandbags for stability. If the hazard is an abrupt change in road level, the RAMP legend is the correct sign instead - we stock that face in the same size.
