Frequently asked questions

Do I need a Chapter 8 barrier?

If your barriers are going on a public highway or live road works, they are legally required to be Chapter 8 compliant, including the reflective strip fitted to this barrier. On private land the requirement does not apply, and a crowd control barrier may suit.

What is the difference between the feet options?

Standard feet are the everyday choice. Anti-Trip feet have one side shorter to cut the risk of tripping over a protruding foot. Anti-Trip Razorback feet are double the size and weight of standard feet, with a larger footprint and lower centre of gravity for windy, exposed sites.

How do the barriers connect together?

Each barrier links to the next with the S-Clip on 360 degree swivel feet, in straight runs or full 90 degree corners, on even or uneven ground. The S-Clip also connects to other barrier styles.

Can it hold a sign?

Yes. The barrier has a built-in 600 x 450mm sign facility for warning or information signage.

How heavy is the barrier?

10.3kg with standard feet and 8.9kg with anti-trip feet, so it is a genuine one-person lift.

How are they stored and transported?

The feet swivel 360 degrees so barriers lay flat, and interlocking stacking lugs keep the stack secure. We recommend 40 barriers per double pallet for transport; you can stack higher in storage.

Can I add my company branding?

Yes. Vinyl branding is available from 10 barriers, embossing from 120 and full colour changes from 150. Ask about trade-account pricing.
