No - this is a standard visual warning tape with no built-in detection wire. If you need a tape a cable locator can pick up, ask us about our detectable underground tape range instead.

How far above the cable should it be laid?

Lay it in the backfill above the cable, before the final surface layer, so it's the first thing found if the trench is reopened. Follow your project's or the network operator's own depth specification.

Why is data cable tape green?

Green is the colour used for data and communications cable routes, distinct from the yellow used for electric cable and the blue used for water pipes in our range. It helps crews identify the service at a glance.

How long is each roll?
