Is the water collected in this tank safe to use?
The tank material meets BS 6920-1:2000, so it will not contaminate the water it stores. It's intended for non-potable use such as garden watering, cleaning and general site tasks, not for drinking.

How do I connect it to a downpipe?
The tank sits flush against a wall and connects to a roof downpipe using a diverter. Choose from a Standard, Guttermate Filter or 3P Filter diverter when ordering.

How much water does it hold?
It has a 1000-litre capacity, equivalent to around five standard water butts, in a compact D-shaped footprint.

How much does the tank weigh?
The tank weighs 40kg empty, so it needs two people to position it before connecting and filling.

Can I add a tap for drawing off water?
Yes. An optional Standard Tap Kit can be added at checkout for drawing water off at the base.

Will it crack in cold weather?
No. The MDPE is UV-stable and frost-proof, so it won't crack in cold conditions, and the opaque plastic reduces algae growth in sunlight.

How do I access the tank for a pump or refill?
A 16 inch vented lid on top gives access for a submersible pump or for filling by bucket.
