This forklift mat is a woven polypropylene mat with a rubber backing that soaks up water and scrapes off dirt that forklift trucks bring in from outside. Laid at doorways and high-traffic routes, it cuts the risk of slips on wet or dirty floors and stays low profile enough for wheelchair users and trolleys to cross.

It reduces the risk. The woven surface has Level 3 water absorbency and soil resistance, so it soaks up and scrapes off the water and dirt that cause skidding, but it isn't a guarantee against skidding in every condition.
