Why it works

Why use an applicator at all

Consistent line width

The can sits at a fixed height in the ring clamp, so the spray pattern does not widen and narrow the way it does hand-held.

Mark standing up

A rod runs from the can up to a trigger at the handle, which takes crouching out of the job entirely.

1.0kg

Light enough to lift into a van one-handed and carry across a site without a second trip.

Takes a four-wheel conversion

Add the two-wheel attachment if you want more stability over rough ground or on long runs.
Overview

Straight lines, standing up

Marking a car park by hand means crouching over a can, and the line shows every time your wrist moves or your height changes. A wheeled applicator fixes the can at one height and lets you walk the line instead. This is the light end of the range at 1.0kg - a steel frame, two wheels, a ring clamp for the can and a rod running up to a trigger at the handle. It goes in the back of a van without taking a load space and comes out for a dozen bays without being an event.

Frequently asked questions

What size cans does it take?

600ml and 750ml line marking aerosols.

Are the aerosols included?

No. This is the applicator only, so order the paint separately in the colour you need.

How does the trigger work?

The can clamps in upside down and a rod runs from the can's valve up to a trigger at the handle, so you fire it standing up rather than crouching over the can.

How is it different from the four-wheeled Sharpliner?

This one is 1.0kg on two wheels and holds one can. The Sharpliner is 8.0kg on four wheels with adjustable line width and storage for spare cans. This is the one for occasional marking and touch-ups, the Sharpliner is for marking out a whole site.

Can I make it four-wheeled?

Yes. The two-wheel attachment bolts on and converts it to a four-wheeled frame, which is steadier over rough ground and on long straight runs.

Will it mark on grass as well as tarmac?

The applicator will run on either. What matters is the aerosol - line marking paints are formulated for hard surfaces or for turf, so pick the can to suit the surface.

How wide a line does it spray?

That is set by the aerosol rather than the applicator, since the can does the spraying. If you need a specific line width, tell us and we will point you at the right paint, or at the Sharpliner which has adjustable width.
