How is it fixed in place?
Each bracket has a flat two-hole plate that screws to the wall, so the rail is held square at the fixing point.

Do I need a centre bracket as well?
For longer rail runs, yes - a centre bracket, sold separately, supports the middle of the tube and stops it bowing. For shorter runs, the end brackets alone are enough.

What's it made from?
Steel with a chrome-plated finish, not stainless steel - the shine comes from the plating.

No - it's a separate product to the wardrobe rail end bracket, sized for towel rail use. Check the dimensions on each listing if you need an exact match to existing hardware.
