Frequently asked questions

What sizes does this fire alarm sign come in?

It is available in 100mm x 100mm and 200mm x 200mm, so you can match the sign to the space around the alarm point.

Which material should I choose?

Self-adhesive vinyl and vinyl composite suit smooth walls needing a fast, screw-free fix. Rigid PVC and foam PVC give a stiffer panel for drilled fixing, and the photoluminescent option is worth choosing where visibility during a power cut matters.

How is the sign fixed in place?

Choose from self-adhesive backing, drill-hole fixing for flat surfaces, or channel fixing (horizontal or vertical) for mounting to posts, barriers or gates.

Does the photoluminescent version need charging?

It charges naturally from ambient light in the room, then glows if the lights go out or power fails, so no batteries or wiring are needed.

Is the sign suitable for outdoor use?

The foam PVC, vinyl composite and self-adhesive vinyl variants are rated for both interior and exterior use; check the material list against your location before ordering.

Can I fix this sign to a car park barrier or gate?

Yes. Order the vinyl composite variant with vertical channel fixing for horizontal bars such as barriers and gates, or horizontal channel fixing for vertical posts.

Does this sign meet UK signage requirements?

It conforms with current UK and EU fire safety signage legislation.
