Frequently asked questions
What size Fire Emergency Telephone sign do I need?
What size Fire Emergency Telephone sign do I need?
The sign comes in two sizes, 100mm x 100mm and 200mm x 200mm. The smaller size suits close-range viewing such as a corridor or stairwell, while the 200mm sign is easier to read from further away in larger spaces like a warehouse or car park.
Which material should I choose?
Which material should I choose?
Self-adhesive vinyl and vinyl composite suit external walls given their waterproof finish, rigid PVC and foam PVC are a lightweight option for most surfaces, and photoluminescent PVC is worth choosing anywhere a power cut could leave the sign unreadable.
How do I fix the sign in place?
How do I fix the sign in place?
Self-adhesive vinyl signs peel and stick directly to a flat surface. The other materials are supplied with drill holes for screw fixing, and the 200mm vinyl composite option also offers horizontal or vertical channel fixings for mounting to posts, barriers or gates.
Is the sign suitable for outdoor use?
Is the sign suitable for outdoor use?
Yes. All five materials are rated for interior and exterior use, so the sign can be fixed outside on a building wall, post or barrier as well as indoors.
What does the photoluminescent option do?
What does the photoluminescent option do?

Can I mount this sign to a car park barrier or gate?
Can I mount this sign to a car park barrier or gate?
Yes, the 200mm vinyl composite version with vertical channel fixing is designed to clip onto horizontal bars such as car park barriers and gates.
Does the sign show a standard pictogram?
Does the sign show a standard pictogram?
