Why it works
Marks a turning exit route, five materials to choose from
Reads at a distance
The green and white safe condition colours and diagonal arrow are clear across a room, corridor or stairwell.
Choice of fixing
Self-adhesive, drill-hole, horizontal channel or vertical channel fixing options suit most mounting surfaces.
Shows the route turning
The running-man pictogram with a down-left arrow tells people the fire exit continues downward with a turn to the left.
Stays visible in the dark
The photoluminescent option charges under ambient light and keeps showing the route if the power cuts out.
Holds up indoors and out
Foam PVC and vinyl composite options are durable enough for exterior use as well as interior fitting.
Overview
Running Man Down Left Arrow Sign - Overview
The Running Man Down Left Arrow Sign is a safe condition sign showing the standard green and white running-man pictogram alongside a diagonal arrow pointing down and to the left, marking a fire exit route that changes direction on its way down. It suits hotels, warehouses, multi-storey car parks, commercial kitchens and laboratories wherever an escape route turns rather than running straight.

Frequently asked questions
How is the down-left version different from a straight-down or straight-left arrow sign?
How is the down-left version different from a straight-down or straight-left arrow sign?
The down-left arrow tells people the escape route changes direction on its way out - for example where a stairwell turns or a corridor bends to the left - rather than continuing straight down or straight across.
What sizes are available and which one should I pick?
What sizes are available and which one should I pick?
The sign comes in 200mm x 150mm, 300mm x 200mm and 400mm x 300mm. Pick the larger sizes for wider corridors or longer viewing distances, and the smallest for close-up mounting near a door.
Which material should I use outside?
Which material should I use outside?
Rigid PVC, foam PVC and vinyl composite are all suitable outdoors. Self-adhesive vinyl also works outside as long as it's applied to a smooth, clean, non-porous surface.
Does the photoluminescent sign need a power source?
Does the photoluminescent sign need a power source?
No - it charges from ambient light in the room and glows on its own once the power cuts out or the lights go off, so no wiring is needed.
What's the difference between the drill-hole and channel fixings?
What's the difference between the drill-hole and channel fixings?
Drill holes and self-adhesive backing suit flat walls. Horizontal channel is for fixing to vertical posts, and vertical channel is for horizontal bars such as gates or car park barriers - both keep the rivets flush with the sign face.
Are matching signs available for the other escape-route directions?
Are matching signs available for the other escape-route directions?
Yes - the Safe Condition range covers straight, left, right, up, down and diagonal arrow versions, so a full escape route can be signed in the same material and size throughout.
Can I fit this sign on both indoor and outdoor routes?
Can I fit this sign on both indoor and outdoor routes?
Yes, provided you choose a material rated for exterior use - foam PVC, rigid PVC and vinyl composite all hold up outdoors, while self-adhesive vinyl is best kept to smooth interior or sheltered surfaces.
