Marks a sliding exit door, five materials to choose from

Reads at a distance

The green and white safe condition colours and bold left arrow are clear across a room or corridor.

Choice of fixing

Self-adhesive, drill-hole, horizontal channel or vertical channel fixing options suit most mounting surfaces.

Shows which way the door slides

The sliding-door pictogram with a left arrow tells people the door or access point slides left to open.

Stays visible in the dark

The photoluminescent option charges under ambient light and keeps showing the route if the power cuts out.

Five materials to choose from

From flexible self-adhesive vinyl to waterproof vinyl composite, the material can be matched to the mounting surface and how much wear it will take.

Frequently asked questions

What does the arrow direction mean on this sign?

It shows that the door or access point next to it slides to open, and the arrow points left, so the door moves left rather than right, up or down.

How do I choose the right size?

Three sizes are available - 150mm x 200mm, 200mm x 300mm and 300mm x 400mm - pick a larger size where the sign will be read from further away.

Which material holds up best outdoors?

Self-adhesive vinyl, foam PVC, rigid PVC and vinyl composite are all suitable for exterior use, provided the surface is smooth, clean and non-porous.

Does the photoluminescent version need a power supply?

No, it absorbs ambient light during the day and releases it as a visible glow if the lighting fails, so it works without any electrical connection.

What is vinyl composite and why would I choose it?

It is a lightweight, durable and waterproof board material, a good fit where you want more rigidity than self-adhesive vinyl but still need it to cope with the weather.

What fixing options do I have?

Most materials fix with 4 x 5mm drill holes or a hi-tack self-adhesive backing. A horizontal channel suits vertical posts, and a vertical channel suits horizontal bars such as gates or car park barriers.

Is this sign suitable for a hotel or apartment block corridor?

Yes, it is designed for exactly that setting, along with warehouses, commercial kitchens and laboratories wherever a sliding fire exit needs marking.
