Why it works
Marks a sliding exit door, six materials to choose from
Reads at a distance
The green and white safe condition colours and bold right arrow are clear across a room or corridor.
Choice of fixing
Self-adhesive, drill-hole, horizontal channel or vertical channel fixing options suit most mounting surfaces.
Shows which way the door slides
The sliding-door pictogram with a right arrow tells people the door or access point slides right to open.
Stays visible in the dark
The photoluminescent option charges under ambient light and keeps showing the route if the power cuts out.
Six materials to choose from
From flexible self-adhesive vinyl to tough polycarbonate, the material can be matched to the mounting surface and how much wear it will take.

Frequently asked questions
What does this sign tell people to do?
What does this sign tell people to do?
It shows that the door or access point next to it slides to open - the arrow points right, so the door moves right rather than left, up or down.
What sizes are available?
What sizes are available?
Three sizes - 150mm x 200mm, 200mm x 300mm and 300mm x 400mm - so it can be matched to the door and how far away people will be reading it from.
Which material should I fit on a sliding fire door that gets knocked or brushed against?
Which material should I fit on a sliding fire door that gets knocked or brushed against?
Rigid PVC (1mm/3mm) or polycarbonate are the toughest options here - both are rated to withstand wilful damage, and polycarbonate also carries a good fire rating.
Does the photoluminescent version need a power supply?
Does the photoluminescent version need a power supply?
No - it absorbs ambient light during the day and releases it as a visible glow if the lighting fails, so it keeps working without any electrical connection.
Can I fit this sign outdoors?
Can I fit this sign outdoors?
Self-adhesive vinyl, foam PVC and rigid PVC are all suitable outdoors as well as indoors, provided they are fixed to a smooth, clean, non-porous surface.
Is HIPS suitable for a high-risk area?
Is HIPS suitable for a high-risk area?
No - High Impact Polystyrene is tough and durable but flammable under intense heat, so it is not the right choice for high-risk areas; polycarbonate or rigid PVC are safer alternatives there.
What are my fixing options?
What are my fixing options?
Most materials fix with 4 x 5mm drill holes or a hi-tack self-adhesive backing. A horizontal channel is available for fixing to vertical posts, and a vertical channel for horizontal bars such as gates or car park barriers.
