Is this the same sign as the red 'NO ENTRY' road sign?

No. This is diagram 836, a blue and white informational sign for private sites such as car parks and business parks. The red diagram 616 no entry sign is a separate, different design used to enforce entry restrictions on public highways.

Where would I use a 836 sign rather than 833, 834 or 835?

The 836 face is the 'NO ENTRY' element of a set that also includes 833 'IN', 834 'OUT' and 835 'NO EXIT'. Sites with more than one access road commonly use several of these together to direct traffic clearly.

What size should I order?
