Why it works

What a site marker is for

Best contrast on tarmac

White is the strongest-reading colour on dark surfaces, which is why bay and road marking is white nearly everywhere.

Lasts months, not weeks

A semi-permanent mark survives weather and foot traffic, so a site is not being remarked every fortnight.

Lead and xylene free

Matters where marking is being done indoors, near food handling, or anywhere with a restricted substances policy.

Freehand, stencil or machine

The 750ml can fits both the wheeled and the handheld applicators in the range, or it can be used straight from the hand.
Overview

Maximum contrast on dark surfaces

On dark tarmac nothing shows like white. That is why car park bays, road markings and directional arrows are white almost everywhere, and it is the reason to reach for it over yellow when the surface is dark and the mark needs to be picked up from a distance or at night in headlights. On light concrete the opposite applies - white gets lost, and yellow is the better call.

Frequently asked questions

How long will the mark last?

It is described as semi-permanent, which in practice means months rather than weeks on a surface that is not being scrubbed. Actual life depends on the surface, the traffic over it and the weather it sees.

What surfaces will it mark?

Concrete, tarmac, wood and composites. The surface needs to be dry and reasonably clean when you spray it.

Will it fit my line marking applicator?

Yes. This is a 750ml can, which fits both the wheeled applicators and the handheld applicator in this range.

How is site marker different from survey spray?

Site marker is the general purpose floor marking can - wider spray, lower cost, made for lines and areas. Survey spray has a narrow spray pattern for writing characters and symbols on the ground, and carries a specified RAL. Use site marker for lines and bays, survey spray for marking out and annotation.

What does lead and xylene free mean for me?

It matters where marking is being done indoors, in food handling areas, or on a site with a restricted substances policy. Always check the can and your own site rules for ventilation and handling.

Can I use it through a stencil?

Yes, it is made for freehand, stencil and applicator use. For stencil work the handheld applicator gives far better control than holding the can.

Should I use white or yellow?

It depends on the surface. On tarmac and dark concrete, white gives the best contrast and is the standard for bays and road marking. On light concrete white gets lost and yellow reads better. If the site has both, yellow is the safer single choice.
