Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between the T184 and a standard hi-vis polo?

It's built from Portwest's Cotton Comfort fabric for a higher cotton content than typical polyester hi-vis polos, and it adds a chest pocket and a placket loop for glasses or pens that many basic hi-vis polos don't have.

Is the orange colourway suitable for rail work?

Yes - the orange colourways (Orange/Black and Orange/Navy) meet RIS-3279-TOM for rail and trackside work. The yellow colourways do not carry this rail certification.

Will this keep me cool on a warm shift?

The Cotton Comfort fabric is moisture-wicking and breathable, and side vents add airflow, so it's designed for comfort over a full shift rather than just short exposure.

Is the Orange/Navy colourway available in all sizes?

No - Orange/Navy is currently offered in a narrower range (S, M and 5XL) compared with the other three colourways, which run a fuller size span up to 5XL.

Can I get this branded with my company logo?

Yes, embroidery and logo printing are both available on this polo - contact us to discuss placement and minimum quantities for branded orders.

How long does the Class 3 certification last with washing?

The fabric is tested and certified to EN ISO 20471 Class 3 after 50 washes, so the reflective performance is designed to hold up over normal working-life laundering, not just out of the packet.

Does this polo have any UV protection?

Yes - the fabric is rated 40+ UPF, blocking around 98% of UV rays, useful for outdoor work in strong sun as well as for hi-vis compliance.
