Frequently asked questions

Can I swap this receiver clip from a wall fixing to a magnetic one later?

No - the wall-screw and magnetic clips are two different bodies, so you need to order the version you want. If a job needs both, keep one of each in the van.

Does the receiver clip work with any make of retractable barrier tape?

No - it is sized for Skipper and Skipper XS tape end clips only. Other retractable barrier brands use a different clip profile and will not lock in securely.

How do I terminate a barrier line without a second post?

Fix a receiver clip at the end point, extend the tape from your Skipper or Skipper XS unit, and slide the end clip into the receiver. That gives a clean line end without another unit, cone or post.

Will the wall fixing damage the surface it is screwed to?

The wall version needs four screws to fit, but soft pads on the back of the clip stop the body itself scratching the wall once fitted.

Is the receiver clip suitable for outdoor use?

Yes - it is moulded in black plastic and used outdoors on walls, posts and vehicle bodywork, as well as indoors.

What size is the receiver clip?

It measures 100mm high, 80mm wide and 23mm deep, so it sits low-profile once fitted.

Do I need to supply my own screws for the wall version?

Yes - it has four screw holes but screws are not included, so use fixings suited to the wall or surface you are mounting to.
