Mexco WCXCEL ½" BSP male wet crown drills for professional core drilling
The Mexco WCXCEL crown drill range is a laser-welded wet diamond core drill built for cutting reinforced concrete, brick, stone and aggregate. Every drill in the range shares a solid, true-running barrel and a ½" BSP male fitment, so contractors can move between diameters on the same drilling rig without changing adaptors.
Key features
-
XCEL grade segments - laser-welded crown segments resist loss and hold their edge across reinforced concrete, granite and dense aggregate.
-
Universal segment design - one segment specification cuts a wide range of natural and man-made materials without swapping bits.
-
Solid barrel - stable, true-running barrel for consistent, straight cores.
-
½" BSP male fitment - fits a wide range of professional wet core drilling machines and adaptors.
-
Wet drilling only - designed for water-fed cutting, reducing dust and extending segment life.
Where it is used
Recommended for wet coring across construction, civil engineering and heavy-duty building work, cutting materials including:
- Granite and hard, coarse sandstone
- Class A engineering brick and soft facing brick
- Clay pipes and paviours
- Hard and soft slate
- River gravel and flint aggregate concrete
- Reinforced concrete and concrete kerbs
- Concrete blocks (3.5-15kN), breeze block and Lignacite blocks
Asphalt and asphalt over concrete need a special segment specification - contact us before ordering for these applications.
Diameters available
This range is supplied across multiple diameters on a common ½" BSP male, 300mm barrel - choose the diameter variant to match your core drilling machine and the hole size required.
