No - it's a hydraulic pump, powered by a hydraulic power pack or another hydraulic source rather than mains or battery power, so there's no electrical risk when it's fully submerged.

What size hose does it take?
A 2" outlet that accepts standard hoses. You can also order the pump with a 2" layflat hose already fitted, in lengths from 1m up to 10m.

Can it handle dirty or debris-laden water?
Yes, it will pass solids up to 5mm in suspension without clogging, though it isn't designed for heavily silted or debris-filled water beyond that.

How far can it pump water vertically?
Up to a 6 metre head, with a maximum output of 250 litres a minute.

Can I leave it running unattended?
Yes, it's rated to run unattended for extended periods, but it must never be allowed to run dry.

Does it need priming before use?
No, priming isn't required - it starts pumping as soon as it's submerged.
