Which material holds up best outdoors?
Vinyl composite is the toughest choice for exterior use, and rigid PVC, foam PVC and photoluminescent PVC are also suitable outdoors. Self-adhesive vinyl is best kept to smooth, flat interior surfaces.
How is each material fixed in place?
How is each material fixed in place?
Self-adhesive vinyl has its own adhesive backing, so no drilling is needed. Rigid PVC, foam PVC and photoluminescent PVC fix with drill holes. Vinyl composite also offers horizontal or vertical channel fixing for posts, barriers or gates.
What does the photoluminescent version do?
What does the photoluminescent version do?
It absorbs ambient light and glows in the dark if the power fails, so the direction to the extinguisher stays visible without any battery or wiring.

Yes, if you choose the vinyl composite version with horizontal or vertical channel fixing, which is designed for posts, barriers and gates rather than a flat wall.
