Why it works

Why choose the GFC2000

Vehicle access control

Concrete-in, bolt-down or removable fixing controls vehicle movement without a permanent barrier look.

Three fixing methods

Choose concrete-in, bolt-down onto existing paving, or a removable socket for occasional access.

Cast iron ball cap

A welded malleable cast iron cap gives a traditional, heritage-appropriate finish.

Galvanised protection

Hot-dip galvanised steel resists corrosion in exposed outdoor locations.

Any RAL colour

Powder-coated finishes are available in any RAL colour to match your scheme.
Overview

GFC2000 Ornamental Bollard - Overview

The GFC2000 is a traditional ball-top bollard in galvanised steel, designed to control vehicle access and define pedestrian space without the industrial look of a standard traffic bollard. It suits town centres, civic schemes and private driveways alike.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need planning permission to install a bollard?

Most driveway and private property installations don't need permission, but bollards on a public highway or pavement usually need approval from the local council or highways authority - check with them before you install.

Which fixing method should I choose?

Concrete-in gives the most permanent fixing and is set 400mm below ground. Bolt-down suits existing concrete or paving using 3 x M12 expanding bolts. The removable version uses a socket set 220mm below ground so the bollard can be lifted out when you need vehicle access.

Can I get the GFC2000 in a specific colour?

Yes. It's available galvanised as standard, or powder-coated in any RAL colour - just tell us the RAL number when you order.

What are the eyelets for?

Eyelets let you fit a chain between bollards to close off a wider gap. Choose none, one, or two eyelets per bollard depending on your layout.

Are the bolts included with the bolt-down version?

It depends on the variant you choose - some bolt-down options include 3 x M12 expanding bolts, others are sold excluding bolts, so check the variant description before ordering.

How deep does the removable bollard's socket need to be?

The ground socket is set 220mm below ground. Once fitted, the bollard lifts out of the socket for access and can be padlocked back in, with either a random key or a key matched across your set.

Can ragged (concrete-in) bollards be reinforced?

Yes, ragged versions can be reinforced with an internal steel core, a concrete fill, or both, for extra resistance to impact.
