Frequently asked questions

When is a no road markings sign used?

Wherever the carriageway is temporarily unmarked - most commonly after resurfacing, before the new lines are laid - so drivers take extra care with lane positioning.

What is the difference between the two options?

Sign Face Only is the 1050 x 750mm metal face on its own. Include Frame and Clips adds the grey painted-steel frame and the clips that hold the face, ready to stand at the roadside.

How heavy is it?

The face weighs 5.1kg and the frame 12.14kg. Lay sandbags across the frame for stability in wind.

Can faces be swapped between frames?

Yes - the face clips in and out, so one frame can serve several diagrams. Check your existing frame takes a 1050 x 750mm face before ordering.

Is it reflective?

Yes - the red and white face is Class 1 RA1 retroreflective, so it reads under headlights in low light.

Do you sell other metal sign diagrams?

Yes, we stock a wide variety of metal temporary road signs. If you cannot see the diagram you need, email sales@streetsolutionsuk.com.

How long is delivery?

Both options are delivered in 1-5 working days.
