Why it works

Why the line marker

Specified to RAL 1003

A stated colour rather than a supplier's idea of yellow, so a line laid this year matches one laid next year.

Bold pigment, one pass

Enough pigment to cover in a single pass, which halves the time and the cans on a long run.

Semi-permanent

Formulated to last months under traffic and weather, so a car park is not being remarked every season.

Fits the applicators

A 750ml can, so it drops straight into the wheeled and handheld applicators in this range.
Overview

Built for lines, not lettering

There are three 750ml marking aerosols in this range and they are not the same product. This one is the line marker: heavy pigment, wide enough pattern to lay a solid line in a single pass, and specified to RAL 1003. Use it in an applicator to run bay lines and walkway edges. The survey spray next to it has a narrow pattern for writing characters, and the site marker is the cheaper general purpose option. Picking the wrong one means either a line that needs two passes or writing you cannot read.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from the site marker and the survey spray?

Line marker is for running lines - heavy pigment, wide enough to cover in one pass, specified to RAL 1003. Survey spray has a narrow pattern for writing characters and symbols. Site marker is the cheaper general purpose can. For bay lines and walkway edges, this is the one.

What RAL is it?

RAL 1003, signal yellow, which is the standard yellow on a lot of hazard and floor marking.

What does dry and dust free actually mean?

It means sweep the floor. Dust is the most common reason a line lifts early, because the paint bonds to the dust rather than to the floor underneath. On a swept surface a semi-permanent line lasts months; on a dusty one it can start coming up in weeks.

Will it fit my applicator?

Yes. It is a 750ml can, which fits both the wheeled applicators and the handheld applicator in this range.

How long will a line last?

It is semi-permanent, so months rather than weeks, depending on the surface, how much traffic runs over it and the weather it sees. Indoor warehouse lines last considerably longer than external car park lines.

Can I use it freehand?

You can, and for short marks it is fine. For anything longer than a few metres an applicator will give you a straighter line and a more consistent width, and it is a lot easier on your back.
