Anti-Slip GRP Stair Tread Covers - Overview
These GRP stair tread covers add a gritted, high-grip surface to existing concrete, metal or wood steps. Moulded from glass reinforced polyester, they are BS 7976-2 pendulum tested, fire retardant to ASTM E84, and come in lengths from 600mm to 3000mm across four colourways, fixed by screws or adhesive.

Will these fit over my existing steps?
Yes - they are designed to fit over existing concrete, metal or wood steps. Each cover is 345mm deep with a 55mm nosing edge and a 4mm overall thickness, and lengths run from 600mm to 3000mm. They can also be cut to size, with a tolerance of +/- 3mm.
How do I fix the treads down?

Either screw them down with six screws per linear metre, or bond them with 85ml of adhesive per linear metre. R2 CSK cutter screws and GRP sealant and adhesive are available separately.
How slip resistant are they?

They are pendulum tested to BS 7976-2, with an extremely low slip risk in dry conditions and a low slip risk in wet, oily and greasy conditions. Coefficient of friction is 70 dry, 63 wet and 51 in oil, and wear resistance is rated for heavy footfall.

Yes. The GRP is UV and weather resistant, rated from -50°C to +110°C, and the gritted surface works in wet, oily and greasy conditions, so external steps are a common use.

Black, White & Black, Yellow and Yellow & Black. The two-tone options give a high-contrast nosing line, and Yellow & Black also comes in a 3600mm length. Custom colours may be available on request.
