Frequently asked questions

How do the lashing capacity and break strength figures differ?

Lashing capacity (LC) is 2000kg - the safe working limit under EN 12195-2. Break strength (2500kg) is the load recorded during testing, not a working limit. Always work to the LC figure.

Which length should I choose - 3m, 5m or 7m?

All three lengths use the same 50mm webbing, 2000kg lashing capacity and claw hooks - pick 3m for shorter or compact loads, and 5m or 7m for longer loads or where you need extra wrap around the load.

Are these straps rated for lifting?

No. EN 12195-2 covers load restraint (lashing), not lifting. Use a certified lifting sling for any overhead or crane lifting.

What hooks are fitted?

A zinc-plated claw hook at each end, for anchor points, trailer rails and load eyes.

How is the strap tensioned?

It is a two-part ratchet assembly - hook both ends to your anchor points, then use the ratchet handle to tension and lock the strap. No separate tools needed.

What is the webbing made from?

Polyester webbing in blue, chosen for its strength and resistance to stretch under load.

Can I use these on a curtain-sided trailer or flatbed?

Yes - they are built for exactly that: vehicle loads, trailers, and general site and cargo tie-down work.
