Why it works

Heavy-duty load restraint, certified strength

Certified to EN 12195-2

5000kg lashing capacity and 7500kg break strength, tested to the European standard for load-restraint webbing.

Ratchet tensioning

The two-part ratchet assembly gives controlled tensioning and release without any separate tools.

Claw hooks at each end

Connects securely to trailer rails, drop-sides and standard anchor points and holds under load.

Low-stretch polyester webbing

Polyester keeps its tension better than nylon once ratcheted down, so the load stays secure in transit.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between the 5000kg LC and 7500kg break strength rating?

The 5000kg lashing capacity (LC) is the safe working load for restraining a load in transit. The 7500kg break strength is the load at which the webbing would fail - it's a safety margin, not a working figure. Always work to the 5000kg LC.

How long is the strap once fully extended?

The webbing measures 4m end to end before ratcheting. Once tensioned around a load, the usable length reduces slightly depending on how far the ratchet is wound in.

What type of hooks does it have?

Claw hooks are fitted at each end, suited to trailer rail systems, drop-side vehicles and most standard anchor points.

Is one strap enough to secure a load, or do I need a pair?

That depends on the size, weight and shape of the load - most loads need at least two straps working together, one at each end. Check this is sufficient for your specific load under EN 12195-2 guidance.

What is the webbing made from?

Polyester webbing, chosen for its low stretch under load compared with nylon, which keeps tension consistent once ratcheted down.

Can this strap be used for anything other than vehicle loads?

Yes - it also suits marquee and shelter construction and general cargo tie-down wherever a rated ratchet strap is needed, not just vehicle load restraint.

How do I release the tension once the load is secured?

Flip the release catch on the ratchet handle and open the handle fully. This disengages the ratchet pawl and lets the webbing feed back out freely.
