Does this come with a ratchet handle?

No - this is the webbing strap only. It's designed to replace a worn or damaged strap on your existing ratchet mechanism, not to be used on its own.

Will it fit my existing ratchet strap?

It fits any 5000kg-rated ratchet assembly that takes a claw hook fitting. Check your existing ratchet takes a claw end before ordering, as fittings vary between manufacturers.

What lengths are available?

4m, 6m, 8m and 10m, all rated to the same 5000kg lashing capacity. Choose the length that matches the strap you're replacing.

Why does it list both a 5000kg and a 7500kg rating?

5000kg is the lashing capacity (LC) - the safe limit for load restraint. 7500kg is the break strength (BS), the point at which the webbing would fail. Work to the 5000kg LC figure, never the break strength.

Does it have a hook at both ends?

No - this spare strap has a claw hook at one end only. The other end is plain webbing, designed to feed through the spool on your existing ratchet mechanism.

What is the webbing made from?

Polyester webbing, chosen for its low stretch under load compared with nylon, so tension stays consistent once ratcheted down.

Can I use this for anything other than replacing a ratchet strap?

It's designed as a replacement part, but the claw-hook end also works for general tie-down tasks provided the other end is secured appropriately - it's not a substitute for a complete ratchet strap where independent tensioning is needed.
