Hi-vis ballast block for anchoring HERAS fencing on hard ground
The HI-VIS HERAS Ballast Block is a 20kg safety-yellow weight that sits over the ends of HERAS fencing feet to hold temporary panels steady where ground stakes cannot be driven in. The hollow blow-moulded body fills with concrete, sand or water, and the high-visibility colour keeps the fence line clear to traffic and pedestrians around the perimeter. It is the standard alternative to concrete blocks for weighting temporary fencing on hard surfaces.
Key features
-
Fills for weight - the hollow body takes concrete, sand or water; roughly 1.80kg empty and 20.8kg filled.
-
Hi-vis safety yellow - keeps the fence line and perimeter visible on site and around events.
-
Removable cap - lift the cap to fill or empty; it seals the body against foreign objects and liquids.
-
Moulded carry handles - ergonomic handles on each side for easier lifting and placing.
-
Stackable step profile - stacks for compact, space-saving storage and transport.
-
Fits standard fencing feet - sits over the ends of most standard HERAS fence bases.
Where it is used
- Construction sites - anchoring HERAS panels on hard standing and slabs
- Events and crowd control - weighting perimeter fence lines
- Traffic management - stabilising temporary fencing on carriageways and car parks
- Utilities and site security - holding fence runs where stakes cannot be used
How to install
Place the block over the ends of the fencing feet, remove the cap, and fill with concrete, sand or water to add weight. Refit the cap to keep the contents clean and secure. Empty through the same cap when the fence comes down.
