Caxton Bike Shelter Extension Bay (Galvanised Roof) - Overview

This extension bay adds 2 to 5 metres of covered cycle parking to an existing Caxton Bike Shelter with a galvanised roof. Frame and roof panels are both mild steel, hot-dip galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461, and the bay ships flat-packed for assembly on site. A Caxton Bike Shelter main unit is required and is sold separately.

Just the extension. This SKU is the extension bay, which bolts on to an existing Caxton Bike Shelter (galvanised roof) main unit, bought separately.

Is the roof solid or does it let light through?

Solid. Unlike the clear PETG version of this shelter, this roof is galvanised steel, so it gives full shade rather than daylight through the panels.

How many bikes fit under each length?

Roughly 5 for the 2m bay, 8 for 3m, 10 for 4m, and 12 for 5m, depending on how bikes are spaced.

Are the bolts included in the price?

Not as standard - this listing excludes fixing bolts. A version including bolts is also listed if you would rather they were supplied.

What stops the steel rusting outside?

Both the frame and the roof panels are hot-dip galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461 before dispatch, which is the UK standard for long-term corrosion protection.

Is it delivered assembled?

No, it ships flat-packed in sections. Each bay is fixed together and to the ground using 8 x 16mm bolts.
