Frequently asked questions

Does this include the fixing bolts?

No - this SKU is the bolt-down (flanged) version excluding bolts, so you'll need 9 bolts of your own. A version with the bolts included is also listed, along with a concrete-in base.

What's the difference between concrete-in and bolt-down fixing?

Concrete-in sets into a 300mm-deep foundation for a permanent fix; bolt-down (flanged) bolts straight onto an existing floor, which suits sites where digging a foundation isn't practical.

What size column or corner will this fit?

The protector has a 548mm internal width and stands 500mm tall, suited to corner columns and pillars within that footprint. The ACP1, ACP2 and ACP11 protectors cover other sizes in the range if this one isn't the right fit.

Can I have it powder-coated in our company colour?

Yes - alongside the standard galvanised and yellow-with-black-bands finishes, we can powder-coat to any RAL or BS reference; add the code when ordering.

Is it suitable outdoors as well as inside?

Yes - the galvanised finish is corrosion-resistant, so it performs the same outside as it does on an indoor warehouse floor.

How much does it weigh?

21kg for the bolt-down version and 18kg for the concrete-in version - both fine for a two-person lift into place.

Can reflective tape be added?

Yes - reflective tape is available as an option at the point of order for extra visibility in busy or low-light areas.
