Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between a Centre Post and a Corner Post?

The Centre Post is a straight-through connector for continuing a rail run in a line; the Corner Post is used where the barrier turns through 90 degrees.

How far apart do the posts need to be?

Post spacing follows the length of the lateral rails supplied with the system - check the rail listing for the exact centres before ordering.

Is the base plate pre-drilled?

Yes - the 200mm x 200mm x 10mm base plate has 4 fixing holes for bolt-down installation. Bolts are sold separately.

Can I mix the powder-coated and galvanised finishes in one run?

Yes, but for a consistent outdoor installation we'd recommend the hot-dip galvanised and powder-coated finish throughout, since the powder-coated-only option is for indoor use.

What certification does this post carry?

It's TUV-tested and compliant with DGUV 108-007, the German standard for impact protection barriers.

Is the FLEX shock-absorbing pad compatible with this post?

Yes - the optional FLEX Mounting pad fits the Centre Post, raising it by 40mm and allowing up to 10 degrees of deflection to absorb impacts.

Can a damaged post be replaced without rebuilding the whole run?

Yes - the modular design means a single Centre Post can be unbolted and swapped without disturbing the rest of the barrier.
