Covers the raw core
A cut worktop exposes bare chipboard, which swells the first time it gets wet. The joint seals that edge behind aluminium.

At 630mm it runs the full depth with a little to trim off, rather than leaving a gap at the back.

The curve continues across the joint instead of breaking at the corner, which is what a standard-profile strip would do.

Sealing the cut edge
A bullnose corner is the fiddliest joint in a worktop run: two curved front edges meeting at 90 degrees, both site cut, both about to be wiped over every day. A profiled strip is what makes that join look deliberate rather than approximate. It follows the bullnose through the corner, seals the cut line against water getting into the chipboard, and puts 4mm of aluminium where two laminate edges would otherwise be knocking together.

An end cap finishes an exposed cut end at the end of a run. This joint goes between two worktops where the run turns a 90 degree corner. They are not interchangeable.

Will it fit a standard-profile worktop?
No. This one is shaped for a 10mm bullnose front edge. On a standard-profile worktop it will not sit flush, and you want the 12mm standard corner joint instead.
