The 522 sign face warns drivers that a two-way road crosses the current one-way road ahead, so traffic may be approaching from either direction at the junction. It's commonly fitted to the back of a No Entry sign, sometimes paired with a Distance Ahead plate (diagram 572). Made in the UK from 3mm aluminium composite with a Class 2 R2/RA2 high-intensity reflective surface, it is CE marked to BS EN 12899-1:2007 for permanent use on the public highway, and comes in 450mm, 600mm and 750mm sizes, post or wall mounted.
