Frequently asked questions

What does the 615 sign mean?

Diagram 615 tells the driver facing it to give way to oncoming vehicles. The red arrow shows the direction with priority and the black arrow shows the direction that must stop and wait.

Where is this sign typically used?

It is used on narrow roads or pinch points where only one vehicle can pass at a time, usually alongside a supplementary plate and an 'End' sign marking where the restriction stops.

Is this the same as the sign on the other side of the road?

No. The opposite approach uses diagram 811, 'priority over oncoming traffic', which is a different sign - not this one flipped upside down.

Is it suitable for a public highway?

Yes. The sign is manufactured to BS EN 12899-1:2007 and CE marked, meeting the standard required for permanent signs on public highways, with Class 2 R2/RA2 reflectivity.

What is the difference between the post mounted and wall mounted options?

Post mounted faces have rear channels that clamp to the post with anti-rotational clips, two per sign, so the face cannot twist. Wall mounted faces come with no holes and can be drilled for screws or bonded with a no-nails adhesive.

Which size should I choose?

Sizes run from 300mm up to 750mm. The right size depends on the road type and where the sign is positioned - check the TSRGD guidance for your location or ask our team.

How long does this take to arrive?

These sign faces are made to order and dispatched in 7-10 working days.
