RAL 7016 has quietly become the default colour for exterior metalwork. Gates, railings, balustrades, frames and street furniture that would once have been gloss black are now anthracite, and it is dark enough that people often try to touch it up with black and then wonder why the patch stands out. Matching the RAL is the whole point of buying a specified aerosol rather than a generic dark grey.

Metal, wood, MDF, ceramic and paint-prepared plastics. Whatever the surface, it needs to be clean, dry and free of loose material first, and bare steel should be primed.

Yes, it is rated for interior and exterior use. Spray in dry conditions and give it time to dry before it takes any weather.

That depends on the colour, the surface and how heavily you spray. Porous surfaces such as bare MDF drink far more than primed steel. For a job of any size, buy a can more than you think you need rather than running out part way.
