Most slips on a painted floor happen in the same few places: a ramp, a set of steps, the strip by a door where rain gets walked in, the area round a wash-down point. A smooth industrial coating in those places is actively worse than bare concrete, because it is harder underfoot when wet. Grey anti slip is the version that treats those areas without turning them into a colour-coded hazard zone, which is right when the whole surface needs grip rather than a marked-out section of it.
