Grip and a warning in one coat
There is a difference between a floor that needs grip and a floor that needs grip and a warning. A ramp in the middle of a walkway, the top and bottom of a flight of steps, the area in front of a fire point - all of those benefit from someone noticing them before they get there. Red anti slip does both jobs in one coat, which is simpler than painting a hazard band and then treating the surface separately.

A fine aggregate is blended into the paint, so the dried surface has texture in it rather than being smooth. That texture is what gives grip, including when the floor is wet.

Yes, it is rated for interior and exterior use, which is what makes it the usual choice for ramps, external steps and loading bay edges.

That depends on the surface. A textured coating on bare or porous concrete goes a lot further on the second coat than the first. Work out your area and order a spare tin rather than stopping halfway across a ramp.

Yes, and it matters as much here as with any floor paint. Clean, dry, sound, and free of oil, grease, dust and loose coating. The aggregate gives grip on top, but the bond underneath is what keeps the whole thing on the floor.
