Why it works

Wider grip, same certified performance

Pendulum-tested grip

BS 7976-2 testing puts the coefficient of friction at 73 dry, 60 wet and 45 in oil.

Quick to fix

Screws down with 5 fixings per metre - pre-drilled strips available - or bonds with 60ml of adhesive per metre.

Holds grip when wet

The resin-coated grit surface keeps working in wet, oily and greasy conditions, indoors and out.

Wider coverage per strip

At 90mm wide, each strip covers nearly twice the width of the 50mm version, for fewer joins per run.

Built to last

Corrosion, UV, chemical and impact resistant GRP rated for a 10+ year design life outdoors.

Frequently asked questions

Should I choose the 90mm or 50mm width?

This listing is the 90mm profile, which covers more surface per strip and suits runs where you want fewer joins. A 50mm version is available where a narrower strip fits better. Both are 3mm thick and use the same GRP construction.

How many fixings do I need per strip?

Allow 5 screws per linear metre if screwing down - strips can be supplied pre-drilled - or roughly 60ml of adhesive per linear metre if bonding. They fix directly to wood, metal or concrete, and R2 CSK cutter screws and GRP sealant and adhesive are sold alongside this product.

Will the grip hold up in wet or oily conditions?

Yes. Pendulum testing to BS 7976-2 rates the coefficient of friction at 73 in the dry, 60 wet and 45 in oil, so the surface stays grippy through rain, spills and general outdoor use.

Can the strips be trimmed on site?

Yes, minor length adjustments can be made with a hacksaw or jigsaw, to a cutting tolerance of +/- 3mm. Wear protective gear and work in a ventilated area, or use our in-house cutting service for bespoke lengths.

What lengths and colours does the 90mm strip come in?

Three standard lengths - 1000mm, 1500mm and 3000mm - in black, yellow or beige. Custom colours may be available on request; contact us to discuss.

Is it safe to use near electrical equipment or in extreme temperatures?

Yes. GRP is electrically non-conductive, including HV environments, flame retardant to EN ISO 9239-1:2010, and stable from -50C to +110C, so it suits a wide range of site conditions.

How long will the strips last and how do I look after them?

Design life is 10+ years with basic care. A stiff brush clears everyday dirt, warm water and mild detergent lifts tougher marks, and a low-pressure wash is fine if you keep it away from the fixings. Check fixing points periodically on high-traffic runs.
