The reinforced twin slot bracket
A plain shelf bracket loses capacity as it gets longer, because the arm is working harder against the hook. The heavy duty version adds a triangular gusset between the arm and the upright, which puts the load back through the fixing instead of the tip of the bracket. Same twin slot fit, same 1.5mm grade 202 steel, three depths from 370mm to 610mm.

The gusset. A triangular web runs from under the arm back to the upright hook, so load is carried through the fixing rather than cantilevered off the end of a plain bracket.

The supplier rates them for heavy domestic and light commercial use but does not publish a figure per size, so we would rather not quote one. If you need a stated load for a specification, get in touch and we will ask the manufacturer.

Yes, they use the standard twin slot hook fit, so they go into the same uprights as the standard brackets. That makes them a straight swap where a shelf has started carrying more.

Three: 370mm x 50mm, 470mm x 85mm and 610mm x 85mm. The second figure is the section height of the bracket.

Why are the 470mm and 610mm a different height?
They use the deeper 85mm section. A longer arm needs more section depth to stay stiff, so the range steps up above 370mm.
What colour are they?
What colour are they?
White, RAL 9002. That is a slightly warmer white than the RAL 9003 used on the standard brackets, so a mixed bay may show a small difference in shade.
