Frequently asked questions

Why does this bollard have an angled (mitre) top rather than a flat one?

The mitre cut gives a neater, more deliberate finish than a flat-topped bollard, which is why it's popular on car dealership forecourts and other sites where appearance matters alongside protection.

What's the difference between the concrete-in and bolt-down versions?

The concrete-in (ragged) version is set into a 400mm deep concrete base for a flush, permanent fitting. The bolt-down (flanged) version sits on a surface-mounted base plate and can be supplied with or without its three fixing bolts.

Will the brushed stainless finish need much upkeep?

Very little. Grade 304 stainless steel resists corrosion and everyday marking, so it typically needs no more than an occasional wipe down to keep its finish.

Can I get a marine-grade version for a coastal site?

A 316 marine-grade specification can be discussed for coastal or high-corrosion sites - contact us with your location and we'll confirm availability.

Is this bollard suitable for a busy vehicle forecourt?

Yes. The 2mm wall thickness and fixed, non-removable design make it well suited to marking out pedestrian areas and vehicle boundaries on active forecourts and car parks.

Can I mix diameters on the same site?

Yes, all seven diameters share the same mitre-top design and fixing options, so they can be mixed to suit different parts of a site, for example a narrower diameter for tight spacing and a wider one for a stronger visual boundary.

How far apart should these bollards be spaced?

Spacing depends on the site and what you're marking - typically 1 to 1.5 metres apart for a visual pedestrian boundary. Get in touch with your layout and we can advise on the right spacing for your job.
