Narrow Cycle Lane Defenders - rubber base and reflective bollard
The Narrow Cycle Lane Defenders are a rubber base and post system that marks and segregates cycle lanes without any excavation. Each solid rubber base carries a reflective bollard, and end, mid and double-end sections link together for a continuous run or space out for lighter segregation.
Key features
-
Rubber base and reflective bollard - each base carries a black and white or grey reflective bollard, fitted into a socket in the rubber.
-
No excavation - surface-mounted, so an existing cycle scheme can be retrofitted with minimal disruption.
-
Continuous or spaced segregation - end, mid and double-end sections link into a run, or space out for lighter use.
-
Impact-resistant construction - each 60kg base holds its position under repeated vehicle contact.
-
Swap out individual units - a dislodged or damaged section replaces on its own without disturbing the rest of the run.
-
100% recycled tyre rubber - made in the UK.
Where it is used
- Cycle lane segregation on urban and suburban roads
- Retrofitting into existing cycle infrastructure schemes
- Sites where excavation isn't practical or permitted
- Highways and local authority cycle route upgrades
Sections and colours
Bases are supplied as end, mid and double-end sections, so a run can be started, extended and joined at any point. Each section is available with a Black & White or Grey reflective bollard.
