Does the Newton shelter have walls or doors?

No. It's an open-sided canopy - just the frame and roof - so you get covered parking without walls, and you can add a separate cycle stand or rack underneath to suit your layout.

Why is the front higher than the back?

The roof is set at 2380mm at the front and 1570mm at the back, so it sheds rain away from the parking area rather than back into it.

How many bikes does it hold?

Capacity depends on length: roughly 5 bikes at 2m, up to 12 bikes at 5m, though this depends on the cycle stands fitted underneath.

Is the frame galvanised?

Yes, the mild steel frame is finished to BS EN ISO 1461, the British and European standard for hot-dip galvanised coatings.

How is it fixed down?

It bolts down, with 16 bolts needed per unit for a stable, permanent installation.
