The No Left Turn is a sign that gives orders, otherwise known as a regulatory sign. Signs with red circles such as this are mostly prohibitive. This road sign is used to inform road users that they cannot make a left turn from the lane they are currently driving in. Common usage includes intersections, one-way streets, residential roads and near exit lanes. A No left turn road sign is often put into place where making a left turn would place the driver against traffic moving in the opposite direction or near areas were cutting through traffic is not permitted. The road sign being in place prevents road users from being put into dangerous situations. When road users encounter a no left turn road sign, they should proceed in the direction allowed in the lane they are in, without turning left.  

The sign is extremely strong and durable. Manufactured from plastic, the sign has construction grade fixing straps on the rear to hook over a traffic cone. Although lightweight, the angled sign is designed to give a strong wind resistance.
