Why is the CT45 free from glass and steel fibres?
Some cut-resistant gloves use glass or steel filament in the liner to boost cut protection, but that can irritate skin and add stiffness. The CT45 reaches Level D cut resistance (ANSI A4) using an 18 gauge knit alone, so it stays flexible without those fibres.

No - the nitrile foam palm coating is designed to hold its grip in both wet and dry conditions, which is why it's specified for jobs that move between the two.

Portwest state the glove retains its cut performance level for up to 10 washes, provided you follow the care instructions - 40°C wash, non-biological detergent, reshape and air dry rather than tumble dry.
