Why it works
One reversible sign, four diagonal directions
Reads at a distance
The green and white safe condition colours and bold chevron arrow are clear across a room, corridor or stairwell.
One sign, four directions
The reversible design mounts to point up-left, up-right, down-left or down-right, so one product covers every diagonal route.
Stays visible in the dark
The photoluminescent option charges under ambient light and keeps showing the route if the power cuts out.
Holds up indoors and out
Foam PVC and vinyl composite options are durable enough for exterior use as well as interior fitting.
Matches the safe condition standard
Green and white colours follow the recognised safe condition signage convention used for escape routes and equipment.
Overview
Reversible Diagonal Arrow Sign - Overview
The Reversible Diagonal Arrow Sign is a safe condition sign showing a green and white chevron arrow that can be mounted to point up-left, up-right, down-left or down-right, marking a change of direction on the way to fire safety equipment, an exit or an evacuation point. It suits hotels, warehouses, apartment blocks, commercial kitchens and laboratories wherever an escape route turns rather than running straight.

Frequently asked questions
What does reversible mean for this sign?
What does reversible mean for this sign?
The chevron arrow can be mounted to point up-left, up-right, down-left or down-right depending on the orientation you fit it in, so one sign design covers all four diagonal directions.
Does this sign say Exit or show a running-man pictogram?
Does this sign say Exit or show a running-man pictogram?
No, this is a plain directional arrow with no wording or pictogram, used alongside worded or pictogram signs to point towards fire safety equipment, exits or evacuation routes wherever the route turns.
What sizes are available?
What sizes are available?
Two square sizes, 100mm x 100mm and 200mm x 200mm, so you can match the sign to the viewing distance and the space you have to fit it.
Which material should I choose?
Which material should I choose?
Self-adhesive vinyl needs a smooth, clean surface; rigid PVC and foam PVC are light options for indoor or outdoor fitting; vinyl composite is a durable, waterproof choice with channel fixing available; and photoluminescent PVC keeps glowing after the lights go out.
Can I fix this sign to a post or barrier rather than a wall?
Can I fix this sign to a post or barrier rather than a wall?
Yes, but only the 200mm vinyl composite version. It is also available with a horizontal channel for fixing to posts or a vertical channel for horizontal bars such as gates and car park barriers.
Will the photoluminescent version work if the power fails?
Will the photoluminescent version work if the power fails?
Yes, it absorbs ambient light while the power is on and releases it as a visible glow the moment the room goes dark, so the route stays marked.
Is this sign suitable for outdoor use?
Is this sign suitable for outdoor use?
Foam PVC, rigid PVC and vinyl composite are all rated for exterior use, and self-adhesive vinyl holds up outdoors too provided it is fixed to a smooth, non-porous surface.
