Frequently asked questions

Is the shelter enclosed, or open at the sides?

It's open-sided - just the frame and roof, no walls or doors - so you get a covered canopy with access from both sides. Cycle stands are fitted underneath separately.

What's the difference between this and the clear PETG roof version?

This one has a solid galvanised steel roof, which is more of a traditional weatherproof canopy. The PETG version has a clear roof that lets daylight through. Both share the same frame, dimensions and fixings - it's a straight choice of roof material.

How many bikes will it hold?

Capacity runs from 5 bikes at 2m up to 12 bikes at 5m, though this depends on the cycle stands fitted underneath.

Will the frame and roof rust outdoors?

No. Both the frame and the roof sheet are hot-dip galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461, the British and European standard for corrosion protection.

Do the fixing bolts come with it?

You can choose either way - order the excluding-bolts variant if you're sourcing your own fixings, or the including-bolts variant if you'd rather they came with the shelter.

Can I set the legs into the ground instead of bolting to a base?

The standard fixing is bolt-down to a concrete base (minimum 400mm cube), but ragged-leg ends for ground embedment are available on request - contact us to arrange this.
