No. This is a printed warning tape rather than a detectable tape with a metal trace wire, so it will not show up on a cable locator. If you need a locatable option, look at our detectable underground tape range instead.

How deep should the tape be laid above the cable?

Lay it in the backfill above the cable, below finished ground level, so it is seen well before the cable itself is reached. Exact depth depends on your site's burial depth and any client specification.

Why is CCTV warning tape green?

Green is the colour SSUK uses for this CCTV cable tape so it is quickly told apart from other services on site, such as yellow for electric or blue for water.

Does one roll cover a full run, or will I need to join lengths?
